Over the past 18 months Varcomm has invested in upgrading its network to provide faster and more reliable broadband services to our community.

As part of the upgrade Varcomm is changing the way it assigns internet protocol address to each customer location.  This upgrade will enhance your login experience, provide more functionality and streamline any upgrades to modems and routers. 

What does this mean for you? 

Effective July 1, Varcomm will only support Smart RG modems and wireless routers.  If you have a Comtrend, Zyxel or any other non-Smart RG modem/router, Varcomm will not provide assistance in repairs, replacements or password resets.  Please rest assured that your current Comtrend and Zyxel modem/router will continue to work and give you access to the fast broadband service you have come to expect from Varcomm. 

What can you do?

Between now and July 1st, come to any Varcomm location, we will provide you with a new Smart RG router and free managed wi-fi for 90 days.

What does this service cost?

After 90 days, Varcomm will charge you $8.00 a month for the Smart RG wireless router that will include all of the services listed above and the peace of mind of having your wi-fi router protected and future-proofed. If you want to use your own wi-fi router you can still lease a Smart RG modem for $5.00 a month that will give you the ability to self-manage your broadband experience as well as continued 24x7 support of your modem and replacement should it be faulty.
